March's Game Release Madness
March is here, the world is crazy, and the game releases for this month are even crazier! It's wild to think that after the release of Capcom's Resident Evil Requiem (which, by the way, was amazing), we would be blessed with so many amazing titles dropping all at once. Pokémon, Fatal Frame, Monster Hunter, Life is Strange, Crimson Desert, Jesus, my bank account is going to stay empty this month. As usual, the team at Kodiye has highlighted a few games this month that have our attention. As a reminder, this list is not sorted by rank, but by release dates. With that out of the way, here are our picks for the top nine game releases for the month of March.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered
Platforms: PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch
March 2nd
Steam Description: Return to the dark world of Nosgoth as you take control of both the vampire Kain and his betrayed lieutenant, Raziel, two powerful entities bound by the conflict between free will and fate. Armed with legendary blades and supernatural abilities, battle through towering gothic spaces filled with enemies, puzzles, and long-buried secrets – where no victory comes without a cost. Experience a timeless dark fantasy reborn for a new generation.
Why we're excited: I love it when old games get re-releases, giving new generations the opportunity to experience the great franchises that are now long dead, like us. The folks behind Kodiye have never touched a legacy of Kain game, but we have always heard good things about it. It is a well-beloved franchise, and we look forward to the opportunity to experience it ourselves for the first time.
Slay the Spire 2
Platforms: PC via Steam Early Access
March 5th
Steam Description: The ultimate roguelike deckbuilder returns! For 1,000 years, the Spire lay dormant, its secrets buried and its horrors forgotten. Now, it has reopened, hungrier and more dangerous than ever, devouring all who dare to ascend. New perils demand sharper strategies, relentless cunning, and unwavering resolve. Outwit the Spire’s brutal trials and uncover the truths hidden at its peak. Will you attempt the climb alone or enlist the aid of your fellow adventurers?
Why we're excited: It's already out, and we know it's amazing. The first game was beloved by roguelike fans, and seeing how popular the game is on Twitch, and the massive amount of positive steam reviews in less than a week after its release, this is definitely a game you don't want to miss.
Pokemon Pokopia
Platforms: Switch 2
March 5th
Website Description: Play as a Ditto and build a new life with Pokémon—from the ground up! With help from your Pokémon friends, rebuild a desolate world into a charming utopia, one step at a time.
Why we're excited: What if I said there exists a Pokémon game that is a combination of Animal Crossing and Minecraft, would you believe it was real? Well, it is, and it's become the number one reason to own a Switch 2. While gamers love to hate on Nintendo, and to be fair, Nintendo in the past has been dedicated to making sure they limit how much fun people can have with their games, I am mature enough to also give praise when they do things right. This game is definitely a step in the right direction in terms of creating unique ways for players to spend time with their favorite Pokémon.
Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake
Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2
March 12th
Steam Description: The full remake of the second installment in the FATAL FRAME (PROJECT ZERO) series titled FATAL FRAME / PROJECT ZERO II: Crimson Butterfly. This Japanese-style horror adventure game follows twin sisters who become lost in an abandoned village haunted by vengeful spirits. Using the Camera Obscura—a device that can capture and seal away the impossible—they fight ghosts as the story unfolds.
Why we're excited: Who doesn't love a good horror game? After the successes of games like Silent Hill F, Routine, and Resident Evil Requiem, we at Kodiye still got the itch for more horror. Luckily, the legendary Fatal Frame franchise makes a return with a reboot of the second game. Fatal Frame 2 Crimson Butterfly has all of us ready to pick up our camera obscuras and create the best photo album full of vengeful wraiths.
WWE 2K26
Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2
March 13th
Steam Description:The third entry in the Monster Hunter Stories RPG series is here! Twin Rathalos, born in a twist of fate. Monster Hunter Stories is an RPG series set in the Monster Hunter world, where you can become a Rider, raising and bonding with your favorite monsters.
Why we're excited: A beautiful new adventure is almost here with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflections. We love that this franchise takes the incredible world of Monster Hunter and actually tries to give it a gripping narrative. It also allows us to befriend some of our favorite wyverns instead of murdering everything in sight like in the main games.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
Platforms: PC, PS5
March 19th
Steam Description: From legendary game creator Hideo Kojima comes an emotionally charged evolution of this genre-defying experience. In bringing this title to PC, KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS worked with Nixxes Software to deliver the definitive version of the critically acclaimed console release
Why we're excited: It's finally coming to PC! We loved the first game, sure it wasn't perfect, but it created a captivating world and had a clear message it wanted to share. The sequel expands on this tenfold and makes us question the morals of the first game. It's a Kojima game, you already know it's going to be a wild ride.
Crimson Desert
Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S
March 19th
Steam Description: A devastating ambush in the deep of night by their sworn enemies the Black Bears leaves members of the Greymanes dead or scattered across the continent. Kliff – having lost his Greymane comrades, his family in all but name – is determined to reunite with the survivors, rebuild the fallen Greymanes, and reclaim what was lost. But on a journey where alliances are forged, dangers abound, and mysterious factions are uncovered, Kliff will come to realize that an unprecedented threat and a destiny greater than he imagined await him.
Why we're excited: This game is made by Pearl Abyss, the team behind Black Desert. Black Desert is an MMO that focuses on fast, intense combat, so the idea that Pearl Abyss is creating a single-player action game set in the Black Desert universe instantly caught our eyes.
Life Is Strange: Reunion
Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S
March 26th
Steam Description: Chloe Price was Max Caulfield’s partner in time… Losing her is Max’s greatest regret. Now Chloe has come to Caledon University. Haunted by nightmares and impossible memories, Chloe needs Max’s help. But Max is already in crisis: in three days, a deadly inferno will destroy the campus. Max’s Rewind power has bought her time – but she can’t prevent the blaze alone. The fire will force Max and Chloe to make devastating decisions. Can they find a future together… Before everything burns?
Why we're excited: The original duo is back! After over a decade of waiting, we're finally getting a Life is Strange game with Max and Chloe together. The Life is Strange franchise has expanded to various different stories and characters, but nothing they have made has come close to the sad, dark, yet beautiful love story of the original game. Seeing that this could be the finale of the Max and Chloe saga makes us deeply invested in this game.
