Happy New Year!
A New Year brings with it a robust year of anticipation. Resident Evil Requiem, Phantom Blade Zero, and Grand Theft Auto 6 are all slated for release in 2026. Making this Year one of the most crucial years in gaming. GTA 6 will either be a game that pushes the industry forward or be one of the biggest gaming disappointments since the original launch of Cyberpunk 2077. Either way, we here at Kodiye can't wait to see how this year unfolds and offer you as many discounts as possible. Let's start by taking a look at what titles we can expect to play in January. Here is Kodiye's top 5 most anticipated game releases for January 2026.
Top 5 Upcoming Game Releases for January 2026
BrokenLore: Unfollow
January 16th
The Kodiye Team loves a good indie horror game. Indie horror devs understand that true fear and dread are produced through uncertainty and the unfamiliar. Which, judging from the trailers, BrokenLore: Unfollow seems to be designed to make the player feel as uncomfortable as possible. BrokenLore: Unfollow is a first-person psychological horror game that explores the impact of social media on mental health. You play as Anne, a victim of bullying trapped in a disturbing nightmare. The game drops on steam January 16th for the PC and PS5. A demo is available right now, so go check it out.

This was revealed at the Game Awards not that long ago. While it may seem like a typical hero shooter, It being developed by the creators of Apex Legends and Titanfall, as well as the game being the final announcement at the Game Awards, means its definitely a title you should keep an eye on.
Code Vein 2
January 30th
Sequel to the 2019 Waifu anime souls-like from Namco Bandai, Code Vein 2 aims to be a bigger and bolder experience compared to the previous game. The Steam page states that we can expect an epic adventure where you and your chosen partners explore a post-apocalyptic world, face fierce battles against powerful enemies, and uncover an epic story that transcends time.
Front Mission 3 Remake
January 30th
FRONT MISSION 3: Remake is a tactical RPG set in a future where nations and corporations compete for dominance in a world shaped by powerful mechs called Wanzers. While I have never played a Front Mission game, the gameplay seems similar to games like Fire Emblem, FF Tactics, and even a little like X-Com. That's enough to make me give the game a shot.
